  From the Redbridge roundabout on the A406 (North Circular) follow theA12 east for several miles until you reach the junction with the A112 (the 'Moby Dick' pub). Turn left here into Whalebone Lane and continue until reaching the traffic lights at Chigwell Row (after a large church on the right). Turn right here and park and enter the forest at any of the places shown with a P on the map. The red P is a side road and is for the entrance from the A112 marked with an X.
